盆栽工房 春嘉

今回は、モミジの剪定について考えてみました。
盆栽初心者さんには人気の樹種かと思いますが、実は我が家には多くありません。
盆栽に仕立てるのが難しいんですよね、、、特に、小品盆栽、ミニ盆栽。
とにかく枝が徒長しやすいです。
そんなモミジの剪定を私なりの方法で解説してみました。
ちなみに、昨今では、育てやすい矮性種のモミジが流通しています。
実生から育てるよりも、挿し木から枝の伸びにくい種類を育てるのが主流になりそうです。
The theme of this video is pruning Momiji maples.
Japanese maple, Yamamomiji , is a popular tree species for bonsai beginners, but I don't grow many of them in my garden.
This is because momiji maples are difficult for me to grow them as a bonsai, especially mini bonsai and shohin ones.
The disadvantage of this tree species is that its branches tend to grow long.
In this video, I would like to show you my thoughts on pruning this tree species.
By the way, dwarf varieties of this tree species are now on the market and are popular.
I think growing new varieties from cuttings is more useful than growing old type of trees from seedlings.

very nice tree. I'm also growing two very different maples; acer rebrum and acer var' kotohime. super long internodes on the red maple and insanely close internodes on the kotohime 😁

バラ、古枝が枯れて来ますよねー？
ひこばえが元気良すぎますからね。
でも、20年持ち込みは凄すぎです。

足元だけは古く作れるけど、枝が作れませんね。
肥料が足らないのかもしれませんが、いずれにしても難しい樹種です。
